I ordered this to keep a media server (pc) and printer off the ground in my basement. It was quite simple to put together. The directions are very basic. I originally put the sliders for the keyboard tray on the wrong sides. The sliders have two tabs that stick out. The tabs are not included in the drawings so i had to guess if they went on the top or bottom. I guessed wrong, but because of the simple design it wasn’t a hassle to correct. The rest of the build was easy. I was surprised by the quality of the material for the price. The metal seems sturdy enough to support the weight i was putting on it.
Just set up my desk today and it looks great. I have a flat-screen monitor on it with a mouse pad, and put the cpu and large printer on the bottom. You have to put it all together but the instructions are pretty self explanatory. Some elbow grease and a phillips head screw-driver did the trick. I have a really small apartment and this fits great. The wheels on the bottom are nice too, in case i want to rearrange my room. It’s sturdy and worth the money for something space-efficient and durable.
This desk is just what i wanted & needed. I had bought a pressboard-type pc desk from a dollar store for 25. 00 & it was a piece of garbage. This one is very sturdy & because of the other reviews i had read before i bought this desk, i knew that those first 4 screws would take an electric screwdriver & they were right. After getting those screws in, i had the desk together in 15 minutes. I will never have to buy another pc desk, this one is perfect.
The table wobbles as others have noted due to lack of cross bracing. You can tighten the screws as much as you like but it still wobbles. It is anoying but i think one can get used to it. I replaced the wheels with m8 x 25mm thread leveling feet (also purchased on amazon) to reduce the height of the keyboard by about two inches and also reduce another source of wobble. It is still too high for my wife who is only 5′ tall but. I am 5’10” and it is now at the correct height for me. Build quality seems fine and unit has a nice look.

Extremely pleased with this workstation. Excellent value for the money. Blended inconspicuously with my decor. Quality silver (powder coated?) finish. The only inconvenience i found in using this workstation is that the space between the keyboard shelf and the underside of the top shelf is too shallow to allow a mouse to be placed beside the keyboard when the shelf is pushed in. The simple fix for that was that i purchased a wireless mouse and keyboard. Taking into consideration the huge savings in the purchase price of the workstation i was many many $$$$$’s ahead. Delivery was scheduled on or before august 29th. I actually received the unit on thursday, august 21st.
Wow – put together in half hour. Love the pull out drawer for keyboard. And the look is really nice. Can roll to bedroom if i feel like working there. I have always been a desk top girl, my pc is an all in one so the bottom holds the printer. Wireless printer, mouse and keyboard make this an all roll around desk.
This computer desk is awesome. One thing i’d improve on is the dimensions of the bottom shelf should be listed in the product specs. I tend to build my own systems and i had to turn my computer tower sideways to make it fit because it would hang over the front or rear edge of the bottom shelf. Not a defect of the product. It’s quality, it’s affordable, it is small (which is what i needed). The keyboard tray could be bigger buy hey, i’m a gamer so i need a bigger shelf. If it doesn’t suit your needs just put the mousepad on the top of the desk. Quality is great, easy to build, easy to use. Love this product and would buy from again.
I was looking for a metal stand for a notebook computer and a monitor. I put a monitor on a riser so that the monitor was at eye level (i’m 6’2″). I put the docking station under the monitor and opened the laptop so that i have two screens. The table is too narrow for a full size keyboard with ten-key number pad and a large wacom tablet, so i got a microsoft mini-ergo bluetooth keyboard. Everything fits just right and i don’t miss the ten-key. I like the microsoft keyboard about the same as the apple mini keyboard, but the microsoft keyboard is slightly better shaped for me. They both work with ubuntu :)assembly was straightforward and quick. This stand is all metal so is recyclable. I didn’t want any of the fake wood (mdf or otherwise) that would last two years and then head for the landfill. This one will be around awhile and when it does break (it is a little flimsy), it’ll go in the blue bin for metal reclamation. It is a much better solution.
Functionality wise, i think this workstation is going to fit what i need it for. I deducted one star just because of the first 4 screws in step 1 of the instructions — no amount of elbow grease could get them in. I considered just making the holes bigger, but my drill bits weren’t good on the metal and i didn’t want a messy look. So i went out and bought new screws. I know some other reviewers have had similar trouble so for future purchasers, this is what worked for me : according to lowes, the screw size i was shipped was size 8. I had already tried size 4 screws from another store (ace) and they were way too small, so i purchased size 6 from lowes and it worked great on one side and was actually still a little tight on the other side. Specifically what i purchased was a little bag from hillman – pan philips #6 x 3/8 in part number 605098 22pcs. Ace sells screws separately – mine did not have size #6, but worth a try if you don’t want a bag. I didn’t see every reviewer having problems so it just makes me wonder if some parts just come with smaller holes — especially since mine were inconsistent sizes between the two sides.
I was looking for an inexpensive computer desk on wheels that i could move around. Since i’m a writer, looking out at the water for creative inspiration, i wanted to be able to change my focus while i write. This has worked out perfect for me. It was fairly simple to put together (but there were minimal directions, so i went by the pictures mostly). It’s pretty light-weight and surprisingly sleek and fashionable.
The reason i got this particular computer desk is for my old mac pro tower (yes, i still have one of those) that i use mainly for post-processing photos. Its too bulky to be sitting under my current desk and this desk looks like it’s custom made for it. The tower fits under with about 1. 5 inches to spare under the keyboard and plenty of room on the bottom shelf. The mac pro measures 19x20x8. Now, i just need a color-coordinated monitor. The desk arrived on time in perfect condition, protected in a heavy box and well packed with styrofoam. No dings on the metal, or um, aluminum.
We’d been looking for a small computer cart—both locally and online—and this seemed to be the one. Most either are too small for us (we’re both somewhat tall, my husband is 6’2″) and there’s a problem with leg room under the keyboard shelf or the carts have too many ‘add-ons’ such as dvd racks, additional printer shelf, etc. Thus, the features and the price of this cart were just what we wanted. It has space for our 19″ flat screen monitor, keyboard and mouse, and the mid-tower fits ok on the bottom shelf (by ‘straddling’ it). We appreciated the previous reviews giving helpful hints (especially the review from 2007), and it was assembled in just a few minutes. Looks nice and feels sturdy. My only additional comment is that the screws that other reviews mention “don’t fit” are really meant to be that way: it’s necessary to have the ‘tight fit’ so that the finished product will be sturdy. They screw in easily with a screwdriver drill bit. We’d recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, sturdy computer cart for a small area.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect when this item arrived. The box came with instructions and pictures, but some of it you had to figure out for yourself. Overall, this was really easy to put together and very sturdy. I have a 19″ monitor on it (not a flat screen, but an old heavy piece of junk monitor). The desk didn’t “bow” or bend under the pressure at all. A couple of tips when you get ready to put this thing together: although it comes with an allen key, you’ll still need a philips screwdriver. The first 2 screws you’ll need to use will not fit into the holes they drilled. Expect to use a little elbow grease or a power screwdriver to get the screws in there. At first it appears they do not fit, then you must make them fit. I had my husband do it and he used a wrench (we don’t have much in the way of “power tools” at home) which worked just fine.
A few sharp corners to watch for but you can get used to that issue. For serious typing when i used a monitor connected to the laptop too much weight on the top shelf and it was not real stable. When i removed the monitor and used only the laptop with a full sized keyboard on the keyboard tray then ok. Again, my caution is the whole thing is not the most stable cart i’ve ever seen. No missing parts, finish seems ok for what it is. A bit odd to have full size keyboard on keyboard tray and still use mouse. Needs a bit of adjustment as not wide enough for both unless keyboard is off center.
Sturdy workstation for the price. It’s very easy to assemble and small enough to roll away into a corner when not in use. The bottom shelf is not quite deep enough to hold my pc – one small jostle and it either falls forward or off the back. I love the locking front wheels except for the fact that they seem to lock when i don’t want them to – it makes it rather tricky to move it sometimes. I like it enough to keep it, but i would not buy another one.
The 3-star rating is an average of 5 stars (for overall quality) and 1 star (for the fatal flaw). I bought this unit even after reading that some of the hardware (four screws) do not fit in the holes they’re supposed to go into. And it was true: the first assembly step uses four screws that are slightly too large for their holes. This product is solid metal, so you can’t force the screws into the holes. Fortunately, we are hoarders of old hardware, including nuts, bolts and screws, and i was able to find four slightly smaller screws that did fit in the holes. This product is quite sturdy, and once assembled, it is quite satisfactory for the purpose. On the (remote) chance that the screw-size problem was a fluke, i ordered a second unit, and it was the same: four screws slightly too large for their holes. So be forewarned: if you buy this unit (and i’m not saying you shouldn’t), either be ready to sift through your coffee cans full of old screws or to go to the hardware store to replace those four screws with slightly smaller ones, which will cost you a couple of bucks. If you don’t or can’t replace those four screws, you will not be able to assemble this unit.
Easy to assemble and fantastic for the modest house i needed it for. All of my computer products fit properly on this merchandise. On the underneath part i was able to in good shape my printer flawlessly. The only challenge i discovered was that my wi-fi keyboard did not do the job on the keyboard shelf. I had to put the keyboard on the leading in front of the keep an eye on. Not positive if probably the materials the desk is created of, is interfering with the reception of the wireless keyboard or not. Other than that, i assume the desk was ideal.
It is really a quite solid transportable desk. I concur with some others that it doesn’t roll just about as well on carpet, but i just pull/thrust from reduced on the table so you will find been zero tipping or concerns. It is really a very little funky to set alongside one another, but was not hard at all, just demanded a small assumed. My custom made gaming rig is fairly significant and can take up the base entirely, which is high-quality for my condition but would not function for other individuals, so just be warned the photographs are a small deceptive on how significant a box you can suit down underneath.
This is rarely ‘permanent’ business furnishings. I bought it as an afterthought to in shape in at the edges of my actual place of work furniture, and to slide about as needed on its casters. It can be very very well created for its humble self. I set up a 27′ imac on it, intending to transfer the unit onto a little something much more sound afterwards, but it works fantastic as is: the desk won’t wobble or bow less than the excess weight, does not vibrate when i variety. The keyboard drawer slides quickly and matches snugly when closed the shelf heights are ideal, and many others. And, by the way, putting it jointly is a ‘normal temperament’ experience with very clear guidance, comprehensible drawings and unmangled language.
I acquired this desk as a birthday reward for my friend who was in determined will need of a desk for her desk prime computer. She had limited space to do the job with so i preferred a petite desk that could in shape properly in her room. This desk has a petite and sleek design and style that operates perfectly in her place. It was effortless to assemble and the instructions ended up easy to stick to. It is light-weight and simple to go all over. Only problem with the desk was that there wasn’t ample home on the keyboard tray to include things like a mouse and mouse pad the keyboard overlaps with the pad and seems odd. General, this was a great item for the cost. I bought it for $50 not the comprehensive record price, i really don’t imagine it is truly worth that a lot personally.
This is a really nice computer workstation, for the cost. It only took about fifteen minutes to assemble and appears to be quite sturdy. All sections (other than the wheels) are metal and suit jointly effectively. The only assembly concern i had was screwing the keyboard tray into the supports. The screws had been extremely hard to get in, but sooner or later i managed it. If it were being not for these four screws assembly would have taken about five minutes. Total i am incredibly happy with this product. I have two computers on the base and a 17 inch monitor on the major.
I’ve only experienced this desk for a working day, but i by now like it. It isnt the sturdiest, but would seem to support my desktop okay. It does wobble a small when i’m typing. Its fantastic for a modest space, and light-weight pounds sufficient to transport/go all around. For the price, its fairly excellent. Some ideas for placing this desk jointly:- the keyboard slide rails are bewildering. Retain in brain that the black capped stop should confront outward, and the two protusion/lip items must be on the base. – the screws for the slide rails did not screw in all the way. The srews are way too big and the holes as well smaller. I experienced to use electric power drill to get them in all the way.
