A solid and inexpensive solution to creating a standup desk. I am using the table on top of a standard office desk for computer use. I am able to comfortably fit two 24″ monitors, my keyboard/mouse, and several reference books. The table is very stable — typing on my keyboard doesn’t cause my monitors to rock — and the rubber feet are effective at keeping the table from sliding on the desk’s surface. I am pretty tall — about 6′ 2″, so i purchased stand steady’s leg extenders. I find the perfect height for me be the second-to-lowest setting on the extended legs. There was a small snafu where the screws for the table legs were missing from the package i received from amazon. I alerted stand steady and they immediately mailed a set of screws to me.
Performs it’s function for the most part and it’s fairly sturdy weight-wise. I have two monitors, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, desk phone, and room for random junk that accumulates. So it’s big enough to handle a fair amount of stuff. I just wish it were a bit sturdier. It’s pretty wobbly when i move my arms around for example to grab the mouse. But hey, c’est la vie, it was way cheaper than replacing my desk with a fancy standing desk or even a varidesk.
I usually sit all day at work, but 4-5 hours into my shift i just could not stand sitting anymore. I bought this and yes, it does not go up and down easily like some of the other products out there, but this just forces me to stand even more. Think about how many prople have jobs that stand all day.If they can do it, so can i. Also, check out how many more calories you could burn standing vs. One thing about this is, i ended up buying a dual monitor pole to hold my monitors up nice and high so my neck was not having to look down.
I just received this, and can tell there will be an adjustment period. The work surface is also smaller then i expected. For the work i do it is too small for a second monitor. But it is fine for what i really need. It was easy to put together and seems pretty stable. I have been about to adjust it easily with my laptop and docking station on it, but small thins may fall off. I do think it is about $50-100 over-priced. A handy person with time could make this easily.

I’m a pianist, piano teacher and video editor, so i spend a lot of my day sitting down. About 10 days ago i got this standing desk addition to go over my generic ikea desk, which was never quite the right height for typing, and now my body feels a lot more stable, and my legs have loosened up significantly. Although it’s adjustable, i’m not using it as a sit/stand desk; since i spend a lot of my time at the piano, i sit whenever i have to play and stand whenever i have to work on my computer, so it works out nicelythe executive stand steady is super sturdy, spacious and adjustable. It’s quite easy to put together (the penny was a nice touch). The desktop is thick and solid enough (3/4″) to use with a clamp mount arm for my 27″ imac, and while it’s light enough to reposition fairly easily without equipment on top, it’s built so that the added weight of my computer and other accessories actually steadied it—it doesn’t rock at all under normal use stress (you’d have to push it pretty hard to get any movement up top, and even then the feet stay put). This desk will definitely last. At the lowest height setting, it still leaves plenty of room underneath for a lot of extra peripherals. This is my first standing desk and i’m excited to have found something affordable and durable that works with my existing setup. My legs are still getting used to it but my arms are much less fatigued, very thankful, and wondering why i didn’t find something like this sooner.
I am so glad i took a chance on this desk. I work from home and was ready to sink $400+ into a more expensive standing desk but decided to give this a shot. The size is perfect—-holds two monitors (one of which is very large), my keyboard, and papers. Keyboard and monitors are at the perfect height.
This is a great addition to any desk should you want to stand and work. Product is just as it is described. I have even leaned on it while working and have had no issues. I opted for the larger size even though i work with just one laptop as i wanted plenty of writing/working room. It is a little pricy for what turns out to be a piece of wood with four legs, but it was fairly priced compared to similar items on the market and the construction is well made and easy to assemble.
I just set this up yesterday and, so far, i really like it. It feels very sturdy and looks attractive. It is a large work area for both my laptop and my papers, books, or whatever i am working on at the moment. It also creates extra desk space underneath to put things momentarily out of the way. I have not had any problems with wobbliness. However, this may be partly because i am short (5′ 2″) and therefore have it on the lowest possible height. In fact, it is actually a touch too high for me. They do offer the option of purchasing legs that are slightly shorter (1/2 inch), so i might order those separately. As far as i can tell, this option is only after you purchase the desk–then you can order the shorter legs. Also, for you taller people, i think they also offer some sort of extension, if it isn’t quite high enough for you.
This is a great standing desk adapter, without the huge price of the adjustable ones. Although there are adjuster legs, i have it at the pre-set height, and it works great for me. The nice thing about this desk is that since there is no adjustable frame that it sits/adjusts on, the entire underneath is usable for storage. So, i have a few paper-trays under neath with my current projects, and a few catalogs that i use often. Nothing that makes me worry it is about to collapse. I have a laptop on a docking station (and it is no lightweight laptop), plus an additional monitor. Keyboard, mouse, external drives. Coffee mug with a gazillion pens and the weight of two yeti cups in varying states of fullness. In other words, it seems to hold weight well :)i would buy this item again, if i needed another one. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to the adjustable ones.
I would give 5 stars had the metal legs were in black color. The shiny metal legs don’t appear neat in my office. I may cover them up with black paper and tape them. Other that, this is a fine product. This desktop riser sets my 21 inch monitor at a perfect eye level at its shortest 20 inches long legs. When i want to sit down, i use a wooden bar stool (24 inches tall) for a short time. I wouldn’t pay for a hydraulic standing desk of which lowest level is 6 inches that off sets my eye level if i want to sit down. Rather, i chose to change my chair to the bar stool to sit high for a short time if need be.
It’s sturdy and does the job as advertised, but without exaggeration it’s about $5 worth of materials, so you really feel like a sucker for buying it once you see it. Hard to believe there are no cheaper options out there at the moment, but i didn’t find any.
Be aware though, this doesn’t go down, it’s just a rigid desk, so if you’re going to use it all day at your desk, be ready to commit to standing all day.
Very pleased with this desk, was a very cost effective addition to my home office to relieve lower back stress. Sturdy, affordable, nice looking and good size for fitting laptop, mouse and note book all side by side.
I really like my table and it’s exactly what i needed, but ups was kind of rough with my package. The box was barely hanging on when i got my package and one of the corners chipped off.
Got 1st one myself like 1 month ago , then everyone from office need one now. Great item , super easy to install , and it good for health.
Have no issues with the product. It is stable, adjustable, and well made. It really is just a “coffee table” for the table, but they don’t sell coffee tables that look like this.
The stand steady desktop just arrived. Easily accomodates my two 20′ monitors. Took only about 30-secs to get the legs attached. My only criticysm is that for tall people (6′ 2’+), it is necessary to fully extend the adjustable legs. But, at full extension, there is a small amount of noticable instability resulting shaking of the monitors when typing. I’ve gotten over it, though. I have also noticed that in the standing position i am really tempted to rest my wrists on keyboard with a lot of the weight being supported by my slumping shoulders.
This was my 2nd desk from steady. Very sturdy, i’m enjoying a lot of health benefits by having it. Simple, static, and so much less $ than varidesk. I have a return, so if i need to sit down, i can briefly do otherwork right there, or continue on with mouse and keys while looking up at monitor on the steady.
Left one with a co-worker after a transfer, she loved it and wouldn’t let me take it out of our office. This is a great workspace “extender”, with the space underneath and all the space on the desk. Easy to put together, and very sturdy when all the screws are in place. Hold the computer tower, two wide screen monitors and all the other shenanigans that make my work place “mine” and personal. Great price and well packaged for mail travel. Not on prime delivery, but worth the wait. Thank you for offering an affordable option for folks that wish to stand while working.
I wanted a standing desk platform that was large enough to hold my 27 inch monitor, my wireless key board, notes, etc. This one has plenty of room for everything. I like the fact that it is height adjustable since i am only 5′ 4′. I have read that sitting for too long each day is deadly, even if you work out regularly, so i see this as an investment in my longevity. And i canwork off a few extra calories while working.
The desk is well made and arrived as advertised. However, i was unable to use it. First, i’m 5’2′ and the desk was too tall for my own desk top. It turned out to be uncomfortable for my wrists. Second, it would not hold both my lenovo laptop and my second monitor as advertised. Just not enough surface to include all three. I really wish the manufacturer had been more forthcoming about height for short people. I would have saved my money and looked for an alternative.
This stand up desk does exactly what it’s supposed to. I brought it to work, set it up, and used it right away. The directions are very simple, probably too simple. It took me a minute to figure out which way the grooves laid out on the leg poles for the middle cross section, but that’s likely because i hadn’t had my coffee yeti have a l shaped desk, and placed this table top right at the curve part of the desk. I will say that the ‘non-skid’ booties on the legs are not very non-skidish. I barely leaned on the stand and it moved. This is the only reason i docked a star. The price is fine for a simple, mostly sturdy table top desk.
